FTP and Email
Email
The Digital Print Centre has a general purpose email address for both enquiries and job file submission. If you are email a file, or files, for a job please ensure that you include the job number
and any pertinent details.
FTP
FTP is a convenient method for submission of large files or for circumstances where emailing is inconvenient.
You will two things before you can use our ftp server:
- User account on our ftp server,
- FTP client software installed and configured on your computer.
FTP client software is commonly preinstalled on many systems. Most web browsers are capable of handling ftp transactions. If you require an ftp client or help with installation and configuration you should contact your LITE or your IT support services provider.

Don't forget to contact us, either by email, phone or fax once you have transferred your files to ensure that your job is actioned a.s.a.p.
The URL of the DPC ftp server is:
ftp.dpc.unimelb.edu.au
Please note: some client systems (frequently Macintosh systems) may require their connection mode to be changed from 'Passive' to 'Active'.
